Somatic Therapy
Have you ever felt like you cannot relax your body after a stressful event, even when your mind tells you things are fine? Do you struggle to sit in peace, feeling like your body is always bracing for something? These are signs your nervous system may be holding onto stress in ways that talk therapy alone cannot fully reach.

Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach that helps you reconnect with the physical experience of your emotions. By noticing sensations, tension, and nervous system responses, you can begin to build greater awareness, regulation, and resilience. In session, we may explore breathwork, grounding, body scans, or mindful movement- practices that support healing by inviting you to listen to and trust your body.

The nervous system is central to this work. When stuck in states like fight, flight, or freeze, somatic therapy gently helps bring your system back into balance. This approach is especially helpful for those who feel disconnected from their bodies or who want a deeper path to healing beyond talk therapy.
