Private Somatic yoga sessions
Private somatic yoga and movement sessions are an educational offering designed to help you start or deepen your personal yoga practice. Together, we'll work on body awareness of yoga poses, modifications for any physical limitations you have, understanding props and yoga terminology, breathwork, and nervous system regulation to help you feel grounded and comfortable in your practice. This is not therapy. No emotional processing occurs in these sessions.
These sessions are a space to either start or deepen your personal yoga practice. Working one-on-one with me means your needs are met on an individual level, exactly where you are right now.
In our sessions together, you'll learn:
-
Yoga poses and postures tailored to your body and current needs.
-
Modifications you can use if you have physical limitations, injuries, chronic pain, or simply want to make poses more accessible.
-
Yoga terminology and language so you understand what everything means.
-
Breathwork and how breath impacts your nervous system regulation and your sense of presence in your body.
-
How nervous system regulation supports your yoga practice and your overall wellbeing.
-
Where to start if you're new to yoga, or how to deepen your practice if you're already exploring yoga.
-
There's no "right way" to do a pose. We're finding what works for your unique body.
Your Take-Home Practice and Resources
At the end of our work together, you'll receive video clips of the poses we used in session, along with the specific modifications recommended for you. These videos serve as a reference so you can easily remember what we practiced and how to adapt poses to your needs.
This flow and these resources will help you continue your practice independently.
